How should call the Terry Goodkind books? The Legend of The Seeker books or The Sword of Truth books?

While the book saga is called The Sword of Truth the tv series producers decided to call their adaptation The Legend of the Seeker. It is similar to what happens to George R.R Martin’s work, whose adaptation of his series (A Song of Ice and Fire) was titled as the first book: Game of Thrones.

Is it correct to call this series The Legend of The Seeker books then?

The correct name is The Sword of Truth books in any case, but it’s okay to call them that way as well since lots of fans know this series thanks to the adaptation produced by ABC Studios.

What genre are Terry Goodkind books?

The Sword of Truth is a high fantasy series that started with Wizard’s First Rule, and ended in 2007 with Confessor. After the original series,  several novels have followed being mainly composed of two sequels: The Richard and Kahlan series and The Nicci Chronicles.

The number of published books for this saga account to 21, two of them, Siege of Stone and The Scribbly Man, published in 2019. The last novel, Heart of Black Ice, was  published in 2020.

What is The Sword of Truth about?

The world of the Sword of Truth is divided into two regions,  The New Wold and the Old World. The beginning of this story is set in the New world, and the story will take place weeks after the father of the main character, Richard Cypher, is murdered. In the subsequent books, action will also take place in the Old world, after a series of events which happen in the second book, Stone of Tears.

In this universe the magic is powerful, having some regions such as D’Hara ruled by wizards. One of the main elements of this magic world is The Confessors, magically gifted women who can force people to work for them and therefore fulfill their purposes.

This series center on Richard Cypher, a woods guide whose life will change after becoming the Seeker of Truth. As a seeker, Richard will have to search for the truth and act upon it. Along with him will travel Kahlan Amnell, a Confessor seeking the First Wizard and Zeddicus Zu’l Zorander, a powerful wizard.

A Seeker of Truth

“A Seeker does exactly as the name implies; he seeks. He seeks the answers to things. Things of his own choosing. If he is the right person, he will seek the answers that will help others, not just himself. The whole purpose of a Seeker is to be free to quest on his own, to go where he wants, ask what he wants, learn what he wants, find answers to what he wants to know, and if need be, do whatever it is the answers demand.” Zeddicus Zu’l Zorander

Because of being a seeker of Truth Richard will wield the Sword of Truth. This sword will provide to its wielder additional strength and agility but nevertheless, it will also instill great anger. During his journey Richard Cypher will have to fight the forces of evil, having to defeat the wizard ruler of the Midlands, Darken Rahl.

The books revolve around the eleven Wizard Rules, a series of teachings taught to wizards, each of the books of the original saga is linked to one of these Wizard rules. This is why, the first book, is named Wizard’s First Rule, being the  first one of this Wizard rules is the following:

“People are stupid; given proper motivation, almost anyone will believe almost anything. Because people are stupid, they will believe a lie because they want to believe it’s true, or because they’re afraid it might be true. Peoples’ heads are full of knowledge, facts and beliefs, and most of it is false, yet they think it all true. People are stupid; they can only rarely tell the difference between a lie and the truth, and yet they are confident they can, and so are all the easier to fool.”

The Sword of Truth tv series, the reason this saga is called The Legend of the Seeker books

Did you know this saga had a tv series adaptation? It was named The Legend of the Seeker and it had 44 episodes comprised in two seasons. After this, it got canceled, therefore not having a third season.

The cast of The Legend of the Seeker

The main characters had the following cast:

Richard Cypher: Craig Horner

Kahlan Amnell: Bridget Regan.

Zeddicus Zu’l Zorander: Bruce Spence.

You can check more info at IMDB, see here.

Why was Legend of the Seeker Canceled?

Even though there was no explanation why The Legend of the Seeker got canceled, probably his score at Metacritic of 55 might serve as a good indicator of why this happened. Also, the general opinion was that the show lacked originality not having anything that made this tv series special.

The Sword of Truth books quotes

Here are some quotes of this saga:

“Sometimes, making the wrong choice is better than making no choice. You have the courage to go forward, that is rare. A person who stands at the fork, unable to pick, will never get anywhere.” Wizard’s First Rule.

“Love is a passion for life shared with another person. You fall in love with a person who you think is wonderful. It’s your deepest appreciation of the value of that individual, and that individual is a reflection of what you value most in life. Love, for sound reasons, can be one of life’s greatest rewards.” Chainfire.

If you want to read more The Sword of Truth Book quotes just check this link on Goodreads.

The Scribbly Man, the last book in The Legend of the Seeker books

The last book on the list, The Scribbly Man, depicts Richard and Khalan after having kids. As Terry Goodkind himself states:

“The Sword of Truth series was my masterwork. Yet, life for these characters goes on after the conclusion of that series. For years readers have been asking about Richard and Kahlan having kids. This is that story. The Children of D’Hara picks up within days of where Sword of Truth ended with WARHEART and continues the story of Richard and Kahlan and their children.” —Terry Goodkind

Is The Sword of Truth series finished?

Yes, and no. The original series is indeed finished. However, as you see in the previous how to read, the story keeps going through its prequels.

Is The Sword of Truth series worth reading?

Even though this series has gotten a lot of criticism, you should give The Sword of Truth a chance and read at least the first book, Wizard’s First Rule. You will be introduced in a new engagin fantasy world. The suggestion here is to start reading this series and decide if they are worth reading or not.

Who wrote The Sword of Truth books

The Sword of Truth saga is written by the American author Terry Goodkind. The Sword of Truth is by far his most notorious work, having sold more than 25 million copies worldwide. He has published other works, such as The Law of Nines, a thriller set in the real world or  The Sky People, an alternate history novel which takes place on the planet Venus.

Is The Sword of Truth related to the Holy Bible?

No, for some reason lots of people think it is but The Sword of Truth and the Bible are not related. Maybe it is because of these bible verses:

“And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God,”

Ephesians 6:17 ESV

“For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.”

Hebrews 4:12 ESV

As you see, there is no connection between The Sword of Truth and The Holy Bible. It’s just these two verses are similar to the title of the saga and lead to confusion.

  3. Sequel: The Witness Trilogy

What is Malazan Book of the Fallen about?

Malazan reading order
Malazan reading order

Malazan book of the Fallen tells the story of the Malazan armies, an expansionist nation set in the world of Wu (actually The Malazan world has no official name, but the author called it this way once and fans use it to refer to this world).  Wu will be displayed through the eyes of a lot of characters through the series, showing the point of view of different races (including nonhumans) and diverse locations. The world is in a state of a great disturbance where rebellion and military conflicts appear to be the order of the day.

Malazan is a ten-volume story, but unlike most of the novels in the fantasy genre, each of the volumes consists of a different series of events instead of being a single long story. That being said, each of these volumes can’t be considered stand-alone novels since some of the characters and subplots will make their appearance in more than one volume.

Each of the novels has a subplot, showing a different aspect of the Malazan universe. In the first novel, Gardens of the Moon, the main characters are introduced. Along the subsequent novels, the action will take place in diverse locations such as the Seven Cities,  Genabackis or Kolanse. The plot usually revolves around stories of rebellion and the armies of Wu.

If you are looking for a complex and wide number of characters set in an immense world while all of this wrapped in a dark tone then welcome to the Malazan Empire. This series is thought to be a bit difficult to read because of the vast number of characters and personalities (mages, immortals, soldiers…). But such difficulty shouldn’t let you down: Malazan Book of The Fallen is worth reading.

Favorite Malazan quotes

Malazan dialogues are exceptional. Here are some quotes of Malazan Book of the Fallen, these are a nice summary of the dark fantasy tone of this series and proof of how good Malazan Book of the Fallen is:

 “Children are dying.”

Lull nodded. “That’s a succinct summary of humankind, I’d say. Who needs tomes and volumes of history? Children are dying. The injustices of the world hide in those three words.”
Quote from Deadhouse Gates

“Every decision you make can change the world. The best life is the one the gods don’t notice. You want to live free, boy, live quietly.”
“I want to be a soldier. A hero.”
“You’ll grow out of it.”

Quote from Gardens of the Moon

Malazan Book of the Fallen movie/ Malazan Book of the Fallen tv series

No announcements are made regarding any agreement about producing a Malazan Book of the Fallen movie or a tv series. Having said that, and seeing how much fantasy series are increasing these days, there is no doubt that sooner or later Hollywood will produce a movie/tv series adaptation of this series. Game of Thrones is getting to its end, and fans are looking for its successor after all.  Probably, the outcome of other upcoming adaptations such as The Witcher Netflix or The Wheel of Time will serve as a great introduction for other fantasy stories to be adapted. And of course, let’s not forget about the billionaire adaptation of Amazon’s Lord of the Rings.

How difficult is Malazan Book of the Fallen?

Malazan’s structure is pretty complex, there is its massive worldbuilding showing diverse cultures through the point of view of different characters. Also, as mentioned earlier, this is a ten volume story where each novel has a main subplot, set in a different location and introducing new elements and characters that make this book so rich. There is much to know about the Malazan Empire and the world of Wu.

Because of the complexity of these novels, we thoroughly recommend that you read the Book of the Fallen series in order of publication. This way you’ll ensure that you know where you are, note that the novels were envisioned that way, being published in that order, so you will miss not any detail.

Why read Malazan Book of the Fallen?

Malazan book series order
Malazan book series order

Putting this all together makes this series certainly difficult to follow if you are not an experienced fantasy reader, but don’t get this wrong, you definitely should give this series a try since it has a superb prose and such well-crafted dialogues and characters, but know that this series is not as linear and easy to follow as other fantasy books.  The worldbuilding is also worth mentioning since you will able to discover different places of the universe through the eyes of so different characters.

Starting this series chronologically, by following the reading order of the Malazan Book of the Fallen shown earlier in this post, is another approach to enjoy these books. However, it might get quite complicated to follow.

Is it mandatory to follow a Malazan Book of the Fallen reading order guide?

Absolutely, while there other book series in which each of its novels can be read as an standalone and therefore they can be read with no particular order this is not the case for the Malazan books.

The world envisioned by Erikson, is wide, complicated and, some times, difficult to follow due to amount of detail and effort put in this series. Because of this, you’ll have a greater experience if you make use of our the malazan book order provided on this post.

Which Malazan book is the best?

There is no agreement at all about which Malazan book is the best, but the general opinion is that these books don’t go downhill. Hope that is enough for you to prove that this series is worth reading.

Oh, and check out this list of litrpg books, you will love them.

Hope this Malazan Book of the Fallen reading order was useful to you. Will you dare reading the Book of the Fallen?

Okay, I have the Mortal Instruments books in order, but what is this series about?

The plot predominant in the series of Mortal Instruments series is the existence of yet another world within the world of humans. This other spiritual world is inhabited by demons, greater demons, vampires, werewolves and “baddies” as the Buffy calls them. In this other world, there is also Shadowhunters as well. The Shadowhunters came to be following the consumption of the blood of an angel by a mortal man. The Shadowhunters are befogged with the sole responsibility of protecting humankind from demons and Downworlders, which of course gets intricate along the line. Some unscrupulous toadies hell-bent on ending both the world of humans and that of the Shadowhunters came into play.

The main series of the original novels, The Mortal Instruments (also known as TMI), tells the story of Clary Fray.  She is a teenager who eventually discovers is the descendant from a line of Shadowhunters. One day her mother is kidnapped, therefore she will have to team up with other shadowhunters in order to save her.

Of course, readers who do not like paranormal creatures (i.e., vampires, werewolves, faeries, etc.) may not like what is going on here.

The Mortal Instruments in order: The Shadowhunter Chronicles books

The Shadowhunter Chronicles is a three novel series. Which are the following:

  • The Mortal Instruments. Original series.
  • Infernal Devices. Prequel.
  • The Dark Artifices. Sequel.

Readers will better appreciate The Mortal Instruments when they read all the six books in this series when, not leaving out its prequel series, The Infernal Devices. You will find yourself being entirely immersed in this series; it is a solemn promise. The truth is that you are going to get just as attached to the characters in The Infernal Devices. So get yourself prepared for this downfall.

The original series  The Mortal Instruments

The Mortal Instruments is one beautiful series that took book lovers by storm.

Following the progression of this book series Clary and her friends are seen fighting the prevalent evil while trying to avoid death. The above scene went on with some being more successful than others. The climax is the outburst of romantic affairs while they all fall in love with each other.

The Mortal Instruments is a six novel series starting with City of Bones. The action takes place in 2007  having the city of New York as the main scenario.

The sequel The Dark Artifices

The Dark Artifices is a trilogy, taking place five years after The Mortal Instruments, that is, 2012. In this case, the main character is not Clary, but  Emma Carstairs instead, another Shadowhunter previously introduced in the last novel of The Mortal Instruments, City of Heavenly Fire.  While the main action happens around Emma Carstairs, the previous characters make their appearance letting us know how they are doing.

An interesting fact about the Dark Artifices revealed by Casandra Clare on her Tumblr, this series is based on the poem Annabel Lee by Edgar Allan Poe.

Mortal Instruments reading order: The prequel Infernal Devices

While The Mortal Instruments is set in 2007, it’s prequel goes back more than a century ago. More specifically, this series first novel, Clockwork Angel, is set in 1878 the action taking place in London.  Infernal Devices is a trilogy and, for some fans, is considered more enjoyable than the original series.

Infernal Devices will have a sequel, The Last Hours. While the first novel of this series, Chain of Gold, has not been published yet. The release date has been confirmed, it will be published in November 2019. This same year!

After this, a last series will be published, The Wicked Powers, for which there are no release dates yet. This series will conclude these chronicles.

After reading these you can read The Magisterium Series, which is cowritten with the American writer Holly Black. Now that you are aware of Cassandra Clare books in order maybe you want to purchase them?

Mortal Instruments order: Why you will love The Shadowhunter Chronicles

The Shadowhunter Chronicles has fascinating characters. You cannot help but to completely submit yourself to every single one of her major players, most especially the romantic and platonic ties between all of them. In The Mortal Instruments, one that is stark obvious is the dramatic interplay between Clary and Jace, between Alec and Magnus, between Simon and Isabelle; these will spellbind you and keep you.

The Shadowhunter Chronicles feels like fan-fiction, which entails that it is incredibly easy and fast to read. The series keeps readers enthralled, though a few elements of it may make you squirm or feel utterly ridiculous.

In these novels, you will find solace in almost all of its characters that will keep you reading. As with most series, they are parts of the books that are worth the attachment, but the characters, as well as certain moments between the characters,  will make all of your reservation and ‘disappointment’ ultimately worth it.

Also, if despite the fact that you know how to read Cassandra Clare books you want to watch Shadowhunters you you can too.

Shadowhunters adaptations

Shadowhunters tv series followed the story of the books and even though the show became quite popular it was not enough for the producers. The Shadowhunters show was eventually canceled, but maybe it will have a reboot?

The first novel of The Mortal Instruments series, City of Bones, had a movie adaptation which was released in 2013. The film, directed by Harald Zwart, had a budget of $60 million and spent around another $60 million on advertising.  Since the film grossed 90 million, it was considered a major flop. As a result, the film sequel was canceled. As happened with Percy Jackson movies the film was expected to be a major success, and therefore the results were way below the expectations.

Years after, TMI had a second adaptation: Shadowhunters series. This time premiered in 2016 as a tv series. After three seasons the series was canceled in 2018.

Who Wrote The The Shadowhunter Chronicles?

Cassandra Clare is an American author. She is best known for her novels for young adults, including the blockbuster The Chronicles of Dark Hunters, from which the series The City of Darkness comes from.

In Los Angeles, Clara begins to write fan-fiction under the name of Cassandra Clare.  Some of her stories had some success: The Draco Trilogy, based on the Harry Potter series, and The Very Secret Diaries, based on The Lord of the Rings (check here to know how accurate the movie adaptation was)

Was Cassandra Clare involved in the Shadowhunters show?

This is what she said about it when she was interviewed by Barnes and Noble:

I wrote notes, the kind of notes I’d write on another author’s book. Some good and some critical like: “This isn’t working,” “maybe this isn’t a good idea,” etc. After they received my notes they made clear to me something I hadn’t realized before, which was that their target audience was older and male—specifically the 18–35 male demographic. Which is very different from the book audience, and the audience I’d been thinking of, many of whom are young women and girls, of say, 14 to any age. The idea was that the show should be Batman and not The Hunger Games. So a lot of elements meant to attract men were introduced—technology and computers—and there were a lot of scenes with “sexy” women, a good portion of whom were bloodily murdered.

What are the Strengths of Discworld books?

Each time you come across the coinage “Discworld,” do not forget that it refers to an outstanding fantasy series in the world of literature. Discworld books are a must-read for every fantasy lover. Are you looking for a fun saga to read? Terry Pratchett Discworld is what you were looking for. If you have been following my blog, then you have heard before, since I mentioned this saga in my article about Racism in literature.

The truth is; no book rivals Discworld’s magic, warmth, humor, command of words, silliness, emotion, character and occasional despairs. It is thrilling and aptly written. Every fan of the Discworld series has the same opinion.

Readers looking for a stand-alone-book can be happy any of the stories can be enjoyed independently.

There is a purpose for Death’s appearance in every book: he’s the best one in the universe and the most magnificent saga of the Discworld Series. The first novel focused on him showing him at his freshest and funniest. Death as a predominant saga unfolds from the beginning through all the books.

What is Discworld about?

The author of this series worked relentlessly hard and created an irresistible magical flat Discworld on a turtle’s back floating laterally in space. The natives of this “turtledom” are hardworking patriots committed to building their world into a better and happy sphere.

The first book tells the story of Rincewind, an unskilled magician, he is not a hero but a coward instead. Despite his reluctance, he will get involved in several dangerous expeditions.

Which Discworld novel should you read first?

If you don’t want to read Discworld in publicationr order then the most recommended novels to start enjoying Terry Pratchett’s series are Mort and Guards! Guards!

But still, I would you recommend you to start Discworld by reading the first book that was published: The Color of Magic.

Who wrote this series?

The Discworld books were written by no other else than Sir Terence David John Pratchett? Terry Pratchett was an excellent English writer of comical fantasy novels. One of his greatest works is the Discworld series which comprise of over 40 books. Pratchett published his first novel, The Carpet People, in 1971 at the age of thirteen.

Adaptations: Terry Pratchett movies

Terry Pratchett’s books would be difficult to be adapted into a movie format, this is why there are no Terry Pratchett films. However,  for those who were praying for any Terry Pratchett movies. there is a miniseries composed of two episodes narrating the story of The Color of Magic and The Light Fantastic.

Therefore, this miniseries narrates the story of Rincewind (David Jason) when he meets the naive tourist Twoflower (Sean Astin). The series cast of this Discworld’s miniseries is actually worth the mention:

  • David Jason- Rincewind
  • Sean Astin – Twoflower
  • Tim Curry – Trymon
  • Jeremy Irons – Patrician
  • Brian Cox – Narrator
  • Christopher Lee – Death

Even the same Pretty Pratchett did a cameo playing one of the astrozoologists.

Also, an upcoming tv series will take place in the world of Discworld: The Watch.

Alternatively to Terry Pratchett films, 18 novels of the series have a stage adaptation, so if you are fond of theatre you might want to check if you can watch one of these productions!

Any Discworld Game?

Also, fancy to play a Discworld game? Discworld series has more than one videogame adaptation, most notorious are Discworld and Discworld II for Play Station and Play Station 2 respectively. Furthermore, if you like board games, you can enjoy some of this series in such format, it is the case for Thud! Guards! Guards! Clacks and Ankh-Morpork.

You should read Discworld if you liked

If you like Steven Erikson’s Malazan Books of the Fallen, Lois McMaster Bujold’s Five Gods novels, or Kate Griffin’s Matthew Swift and the related Magical Anonymous series, then you will love Terry Pratchett’s books.

Hope this Discworld reading guide thrilled you to read the Terry Pratchett Discworld series, will you play a Discworld game? maybe watch some of the Terry Pratchett movies? don’t forget to leave a comment!

It is time you know about Dragonlance, if you don’t already of course. Dragonlance is a popular series it is related to the famous board game Dungeons and Dragons. Such is that connection that these series are based on Dungeons & Dragons universe and modules. It all began thanks to the authors playing a board game,

This is an enjoyable series of fantasy books best suitable for younger readers. Dragonlance Chronicles is an Epic Fantasy in style and penned from the third-person perspective. The characters are somewhat one-dimensional but well written with simplistic and easy to read form. The great success of Dragonlance is the secret behind all the greatest fantasy series: there is a different recurrent saga, there is magic, someone, and action for everyone to note. If you ask a reader of Dragonlance who their favorite character is, they won’t be able to pick out one.

Today, teenagers may say adults who haven’t read Harry Potter do not understand magic. They fail to realize that every generation has walked on the sands of magic. Subsequently, all those who love Harry Potter books will surely love Dragonlance. Or also, you can check these other “Books like Harry Potter” post.

What is Dragonlance about?

These novels set in the world of Krynn, a place where humans coexist with magic and monsters.  In this story, Krynn no longer has the favour of the ancient gods centuries ago, a period known as the Cataclysm. The world has become a dangerous place, full of enemies and dangers.  It tells the story of a band of adventurers who reunite after five years separated, having a new journey together after discovering a powerful staff with healing powers, an ability long time no seen since the Cataclysm.

The cadre of companions is surrounded by obscure, fully fleshed characters. While King Lorac is likened to Shakespeare’s King Lear in madness. Lord Soth’s story of requited love and madness is found in Ann Radcliffe’s gothic tales. Beren, the immortal man, is seen searching for his sister who keeps the green emerald. Also seen is Fistandantilus, Par-Salian, Elistan, Bupu, Crysania, Ariakis, Gilthanas,  and many more. There is someone for every reader to latch on to, sympathize with, love or hate. The action is progressive, raging across the mountains, lands to the seas, and the skies. There are castles and towns in trees, taverns and libraries, great cities and tiny villages. There is also a Shrove where the dead reaches out, the magical tests; the Abyss, and there are dragons. No matter what, every great fantasy needs a dragon (saving David Eddings).

The authors tried their best to be creatively elaborate in these books, that you identify right the good, bad and the ugly without difficulty. There is adequate light-heartedness that abounds in this story, and the fantasy genre is evident in these series.

What will you like about Dragonlance?

The authors of Dragonlance Chronicles did an exceptional job, creating an entertaining, and reader-friendly series that enthralls and keeps readers engrossed.

Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman were able to take cognizance of the fact that all good fantasy entails that each character has a particular quest which they are known to pursue. Hence, you may;

  • love the troubled Tanis Half-Elven
  • year for either the pure Lauralanthalsa or the edgy, chaotic Kitiara
  • become fond of the dour old dwarf, Flint, or
  • find solace in the overly chivalrous Sturm.

There is the mysticism in Riverwind and Goldmoon, the bitter, powerful mage Raistlin Majere or his athletic, gladiatorial twin, Cameron. You will also love the prankish Kender, Tasslehoff, the Fellowship racing from Draconians crashing up Tika’s Inn in Solace and discovering themselves clashing with Queen Takhisis’ blue, red, green, black dragons.

Again, like in Star Wars, here we have a family doing all they can to combat evil and restore the good. According to Raistlin, “Hope is the denial of reality,” but in the end, it is the hope that is made evident.

The trilogy

The Dragonlance Chronicles is a compilation of all first three volumes of the popular Dragonlance series. Written by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman, the Chronicles consist of the following:

In this case, the proper reading order for The Dragonlance series is the published order. This is at the same time the chronological order.

  • The Dragons of Autumn Twilight
  • Dragons of Winter Night
  • Dragons of Spring Dawning

Equivalent to Star Wars, the saga of the first trilogy takes us through the initial triumph seen in the Dragons of Autumn Twilight, down to gloom that loom when evil rules in Dragons of Winter Night, to final conquest in Dragons of Spring Dawning.

The extended Dragonlance universe

As the years go by, over 200 novels (such a number uh?) are already published in the Dragonlance universe as a setting. Such as the Legends, the Chronicles, The Dark Disciple, the War of Souls and a lot more.

The Dragonlance series was more than six books; the second trilogy, ‘Time of the Twins’, ‘War of the Twins’, and ‘Test of the Twins’ are cleverly merged time journey into an ancient fantasy. Two futures appear; one where Raistlin becomes a God and another where he recognizes that his successes are futile, and his inner struggles ultimately let ‘good’ win.

Adaptations

Dragonlance had an animated movie adaptation released in 2008 by the name Dragonlance: Dragons of Autumn Twilight. This movie bases on the first novel of the Dragonlance series and was directed by Will Meugnio. Critics were predominantly negative though, which was the reason why the following books in the original trilogy didn’t have a movie adaptation. Animation didn’t meet the expectations, this was so that the coauthor, Tracy Hickman, stated the following:

“The animation itself is less than I would have hoped it to be”

Even so, if you want to watch the movie you can find it on DVD for less than 5$.

About the authors

Margaret Edith Weis is a terrific fantasy and science-fiction writer of dozens of novels and short stories. Fondly called Margaret Weis, called is one of the original creators of the Dragonlance game world, alongside Tracy Hickman and others.

Tracy Raye Hickman is also an American fantasy author who has written or co-authored dozens of novels with Dragonlance being one of his widely accepted work.
