What is this series about?
This is the story of Jacob, a 16-year-old boy who finds out that the photo album his grandpa gave to him is more than a weird collection of the most peculiar pictures, but it seems to be a coded message that will make him travel to an island in Wales. There he will find an orphanage, in which Miss Peregrine takes care of the most unique children Jacob has ever seen…
As said before, Ransom Rigg’s initial idea was to make a picture book with some vernacular photographs he had collected. Instead, his publisher suggested he wrote a book in which those pictures would be part of the story.
